Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon and beef: Fry the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside on paper towels to drain. In the same skillet, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the beef and sauté until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Prepare the sauce: Stir in tomato sauce, mustard, ketchup, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes to blend all flavors while preparing cheese and noodles.
  3. Layer the lasagna: Grease a baking dish. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Cover with lasagna noodles. Add a layer of shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and a few pickle slices on top. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous cheese topping.
  4. Bake to perfection: Cover the dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Let the lasagna cool for several minutes before slicing and serving.
