Crispy Pita Chips

  • 2 pita breads, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon sumac for seasoning pita chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pita Chips: Cut pita bread into bite-sized pieces. Toss them with olive oil, a pinch of salt, and optional sumac for extra zing. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden and crisp. Set aside to cool.
  2. Chop the Fresh Vegetables: Wash and chop tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, green bell pepper, and green onions into bite-sized pieces for easy eating and attractive presentation.
  3. Prepare the Herbs: Finely chop fresh parsley and mint to enhance the salad with bright flavor and aroma typical of Middle Eastern cuisine.
