This easy-to-make treat offers the perfect balance of sweet, fruity, and creamy flavors, ideal for special occasions or everyday indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit Mixture

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Cream Filling

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Assembly

  • 2024 ladyfingers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Mixture: Wash, hull, and slice fresh strawberries. Toss them gently with sugar and a splash of lemon juice. Let the mixture macerate for about 20 minutes to release natural juices and intensify the sweetness.
  2. Whip the Cream and Mascarpone: In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, blend mascarpone cheese with vanilla extract and sugar until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, creating a light and fluffy filling.
  3. Soak and Layer the Ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the strawberry juice or macerated strawberry liquid, just long enough to absorb flavor without becoming soggy. Arrange an even layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of the serving dish.
  4. Assemble the Layers: Spoon half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Add a generous layer of sliced strawberries on top. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and finish with the remaining mascarpone cream on top.
  5. Chill and Serve: Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, allowing flavors to meld and texture to set before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature mascarpone for smoother blending with whipped cream.
  • Dip ladyfingers quickly to retain their delicate crunch while absorbing strawberry flavor.
  • Chill thoroughly to let layers fuse and flavors mature.
  • Slice strawberries evenly for balanced fruitiness in every bite.
  • Add garnishes like fresh strawberry slices or mint leaves just before serving for freshness.
