Instructions

  1. Brown the Sausage: Turn your Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil. Crumble in the Italian sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes, creating a savory flavorful base.
  2. Sauté Onions and Garlic: Remove the sausage and set aside. In the same pot with the remaining fat, add diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté until translucent and fragrant, about 3 minutes, enhancing the flavor depth.
  3. Add Potatoes, Broth, and Seasonings: Add peeled and sliced russet potatoes, pour in chicken broth, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine before sealing the Instant Pot lid.
