Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Marinade

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

Slider Assembly

  • 810 mini slider buns
  • 68 slices bacon
  • Fresh lettuce (romaine or iceberg), enough for sliders
  • 12 tomatoes, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons each of honey and Dijon mustard with 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice until smooth. Set aside to coat the chicken later.
  2. Cook the Bacon: Fry 6 to 8 bacon slices in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels to eliminate excess grease.
  3. Grill the Chicken: Lightly brush the chicken breasts with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked. During the last few minutes of grilling, generously brush the chicken with the honey mustard sauce to allow caramelization.
  4. Assemble the Sliders: Slice the grilled chicken into slider-sized pieces. On each mini bun, layer a piece of chicken, one strip of crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and a slice of tomato. Drizzle additional honey mustard sauce if desired, then place the top bun and gently press to close.
  5. Serve Immediately: Serve warm to enjoy the tender chicken, crunchy bacon, and fresh vegetables at their best. These sliders are optimal when eaten right after assembly.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bacon for better chew and less grease.
  • Let grilled chicken rest a few minutes before slicing to retain juices.
  • Lightly toast slider buns before assembling to prevent sogginess and add crunch.
  • Adjust honey and mustard amounts to achieve your preferred sweet-tangy balance.
  • Slice lettuce and tomatoes just before assembling to maintain freshness and crispness.
